Eric W. Ramsey is an international evangelist and cross-cultural communications and mission strategist; and serves as president of Tom Cox World Ministries, leading ongoing evangelism and church planting work on four continents. He is a frequent preacher and speaker for evangelism conferences, mission conferences, as well as church-based events. Eric regularly leads strategic international mission teams throughout the world, works with churches to develop Acts 1:8 global missions strategies and is the host of
Answer His Call, a national weekly radio program on Sirius Satellite Radio 161.
He served eight years as a cross-cultural communications strategist and manager in the Church Planting Group of the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board. During that time, he was the co-founding editor and managing editor of Church Planting & Evangelism Today, managing editor of The Planter Update, project manager for Light Up the Nation, on the development team and national steering team for the Acts 1:8 Challenge, and chairman of the North American Acts 1:8 Challenge advisory team. His combined experience and education in broadcasting, marketing, pastoral ministry, and missions bring a fresh relevance to his concepts and strategies.
He is the co-executive producer for the Emmy Award nominated documentary The Changing Face of Worship which aired on ABC in 2004. Eric W. Ramsey (with Ed Stetzer) wrote "Strategic Outreach," ©2005 Outreach, Inc. This resource was featured in Pastor, Rick Warren's Ministry Tool Box. He recently co-authored the book, Bivocational Church Planters: Uniquely Wired for Kingdom Growth, with Steve Nerger, ©2007 NAMB. In addition, he is a contributing writer for several NAMB books and manuals including, Kingdom Builders, Mediating the Message, Seven Steps to Plant a Church, GPS Tour Manual, Calling Out the Called; and since 1993 has written many articles published in various periodicals. In 2000, he developed the first Spanish language media campaign for Southern Baptists, Nuestra Familia, Su Familia.
He has a B.A. from Ouachita Baptist University and M.A. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Gaye Ramsey, gospel singer/recording artist and women’s speaker. Eric, his wife, Gaye, and their two children Andrew, 17, and Alisha, 14, travel together most of the year. They have a home in Mountainburg, Arkansas.
