Pastor Jim Walker talks about the growing church in Huamachuco, Peru
May 08
The April 2012 trip to Haumachuco, Peru was my third trip. The first yearwas a vision trip. We prayed, found a building to rent and began the process of securing a church planter. The next year we brought a team of 10for medical clinics and evangelistic services to help church planter Segundo. We also conducted the first ever Sunday morning service in ourchurch plant in Haumachuco. Just days prior to that first Sunday service we painted the walls and ceiling, stained the wooden furniture, and prayed that God would one day fill the room. Then came April 2012. It was Wednesday evening of our trip. We had been averaging 10 children and 8 adults in our services. But Wednesday when we arrived around 100 Peruvians were sitting and waiting for the service to begin.
